Interwoven into Andrew Berends stories are those of other journalists who share their different takes and approaches on how to cover a disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>March 29 2010<br>Dear Friends,<br>(Apologies if you have already received this.)<br>I spent six weeks in Haiti photographing the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated the country on January 12.<br>I encountered images of horror and grief but also hope and resilience.<br>I would like to share with you a collection of my work. <a href=\"http:\/\/storytellerinc.com\/haiti_earthquake\/menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Click here (opens in a new tab)\">Click here<\/a> to view the galleries. (Be advised, the slideshows include some graphic images.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haiti is a poor and troubled country. It is also friendly, hospitable, and beautiful.
